While accepting high honors for best movie actor at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards live from the USC Galen Center in Los Angeles, Depp pointed the pump toward his screaming young fans, shooting out streams of the network's signature green goo.
"You guys are the future," Depp, 47, told the crowd just before he unleashed the slime. "Take good care of us."
Also accepting a bright orange blimp at Saturday's ceremony: Wizards of Waverly Place's Selena Gomez (for best TV actress), The Last Song's Miley Cyrus (for best movie actress) and Katy Perry (best female singer), who was not in attendance. Justin Timberlake was recognized not for a movie or his music, but for his charitable efforts, earning the Big Help Award.
"I want to dedicate this to all of you very cool, very loud kids," Timberlake said on stage. "This is your world."
If you missed out on the star-studded (and sometimes slimy) action, here are more choice moments:
Jack Black kicked off the evening with, well, a high-kick. The three-time host danced his way down the orange carpet to the Black Eyed Peas's "I Gotta Feeling," showing off his smooth moves and rock star vocals. Just moments later, he joined the band onstage as they performed hits "Time of my Life" and "Just Can't Get Enough." Later, Fergie renamed the band the Jack Black Eyed Peas when accepting the award for best music group.
What does his wife, Katy Perry, think about this? "I'm never having children," Russell Brand joked with his young fans, who were lying on the slime, while he presented the award for best voice from an animated movie with Modern Family star Rico Rodriquez. "I am English. I am your leader," he continued, with a laugh, "You must not do this!"
Heidi Klum can rock anything ? even a truckload of slime! The supermodel mommy's outfit ? and sky-high heels ? were covered in green as she presented Selena Gomez with the blimp for best TV actress.
Willow Smith brought the audience to their feet ? earning lots of applause from Fergie ? with a hair whip-worthy performance. Sporting an orange ballerina-inspired dress, the pint-sized pop star descended onto the stage from the ceiling before launching into her megahit, "Whip My Hair."
