While promoting the new film Scream 4, co-starring her estranged husband David Arquette, Courteney Cox candidly opened up about their troubled relationship, admitting that the couple shares a special bond. Despite their rocky year, Courteney confessed that she enjoys watching her previous Scream films because they chronicle her love with David. ?So the films are very important to me and when I watch them, it really makes me smile?in between all the slashes!? said Courteney.

Cox, pictured arriving at LAX with daughter Coco, revealed that she is proud of her husband for taking care of himself, commenting on how good he looks. David made headlines last year after appearing on Howard Stern, suggesting that Courteney formed an ?emotional bond? with her co-star Brian Van Holt, and admitting that he slept with another women. Courteney has been understanding about the situation, telling both Harper?s Bazaar and Mail Online that Arquette is not a malicious person. David has since gone through rehab for alcohol and other issues, and is now over 100 days clean.
Recently Cox has been connected with Cougar Town co-star Josh Hopkins, but that does not mean her feelings for Arquette have vanished. As to the future of her marriage, Courteney Cox is not sure, but she still loves David: ?Well, I don?t know what?s going to happen between David and me, but we?ll always have a special bond and I love him very much? It takes a lot of courage to switch things up and not drift in a relationship, so we?ll just have to see where it goes. All I really want is to be happy.?
