La Red Innova Open Talent 2011 Brings Investment Opportunity to Technology Entrepreneurs

On June 15-16 Madrid (Spain) will host La Red Innova ? an event about innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity and the Internet. Bob Wollheim (of SixPix Content) and myself have been invited to speak, along with directors from Facebook, Havas Media Lab, Al Jazeera and other companies relating to digital business.

Startups have until May 15 to sign up for the Open Talent competition.

As stated in La Red Innova?s press release:

La Red Innova has important news this year: the creation of La Red Innova Open Talent 2011, an international competition for new entrepreneurs in digital economy, organized alongside the Group BBVA.

The winning project will be granted funding support of up to 100.000 euros and/or a collaboration program with BBVA�to drive�their business development.

By this means, La Red Innova and the Group BBVA reinforce their former most important entrepreneurship projects both in Europe and Latin America: La Red Innova?s 'Start-up Competition' and BBVA?s 'Open Talent'. The Endeavor Foundation will be in charge of evaluating applications in order to select the 20 best, most innovative companies related to technology and�showing a high growth potential who will present themselves in Madrid in front of a jury composed of specialists and representatives of venture capital companies.

The 5 finalists that run to final stage stand to win:

• Business development advice, plus the possibility of incubating the company at La Red Innova?s offices in Madrid, or online, for a six month period. This advice program includes searching for adequate consultants, fund raising assessment, networking in Spain and Latin America, driving the project and brand management.
• Funding up to 100.000 euros to one of the 20 finalists which will consist of the development of a collaboration project with BBVA and/or financial funding.
