Matthew Morrison has revealed despite receiving many award nominations for his role in 'Glee' he ''doesn't give a s**t'' if he wins or not.
Matthew Morrison "doesn't give a s**t" about winning awards.
The singer-and-actor - who is best known for playing teacher Will Schuester in 'Glee' - often finds himself in the running for prizes at prestigious ceremonies but insists he doesn't get upset if he is beaten by someone else.
He said: "I get nominated for everything and never win.
"I honestly don't give a s**t about awards. Sure, I'd take an Emmy. Am I losing sleep over not having one? No.
How do you really, unless you're all doing the same part, judge who is better than who?
"I always feel like awards are such a funny thing. I don't know what their purpose is apart from to drive publicity towards a television show or a film.
"How do you really, unless you're all doing the same part, judge who is better than who?"
Despite the success of 'Glee', Matthew admits network bosses were initially uneasy about the show because they weren't sure who it would appeal to.
He explained to Attitude magazine: "We shot the first 13 episodes in a bubble, before they were seen by anyone.
"No one really knew what it would be. Everyone from the studio thought it was good. The problem was in locating the audience.
"The question at the network was always, 'Who is going to watch this?' What was the audience we were trying to attract?"
