Chantelle Houghton should've been excited about the opening of her new clothing boutique in Essex last night, but instead the newly single star was unable to crack a smile for photographers.

The Big Brother contestant - who split from Crimewatch presenter Rav Wilding over the weekend - arrived at the launch party for Vardo Boutique By Chantelle in a horse-drawn carriage and wore a plunging black gown.

But Chantelle, 27, looked glum and appeared to be preoccupied as she comes to terms with the break-up, which was sparked by a row between the pair in a London park on Saturday.

Following the publication of photos of their argument, Rav confirmed the split on Twitter.

'Sadly Chantelle & I are no longer in a relationship as I've had to draw a line under it,' the 33-year-old Tweeted.

'The relationship wasn't what I wanted so badly and wasn't the genuine thing I thought it was.

'It's so upsetting as I genuinely & truly loved Chantelle, but the publicity side isn't always reflective of the truth...'
