Adding yet another academic achievement to his already impressive resume, James Franco graduated from New York University yesterday (May 17).
The 33-year-old Oscar nominee, who donned the standard cap and purple gown for the ceremony, now has his MFA in filmmaking from the Tisch School of the Arts.
In addition to his most recent diploma, James also holds the same accolade in creative writing from Columbia, he has studied fiction writing at Brooklyn College, poetry at Warren Wilson College, and is currently working towards a Ph.D. in English from the esteemed Yale University.
The higher-education aficionado, has also announced his plans to take classes at the Rhode Island School of Design and has just been accepted into the University of Houston's doctoral program in literature and creative writing for fall 2012.
