Paula Abdul will be the fourth judge on Simon Cowell?s new show The X Factor. Abdul confirmed her new gig Sunday and revealed how excited she is.

Simon Cowell stated last month that he wanted Abdul to be a judge, but she signed the contract over the weekend to make it official.
The three other judges on the show are Cowell, former Def Jam president L.A. Reid, and singer Cheryl Cole. In addition to the all-star panel of judges, Nicole Scherzinger and British television personality Steve Jones will host the show. The X Factor will feature solo singers and groups age 12 and up and premieres this fall on Fox.
