JLS are hoping to be invited to perform at the London Olympics in 2012 and have made it their top target for the next year.

JLS want to perform at the 2012 Olympics.

The 'Beat Again' hitmakers say it would be a dream come true to put on a show at the London Games next year because they love sport and are very proud of being British.

JB Gill said: "We love our sport and playing there is the top of the agenda for next year.

I'm saying like I'm on the committee - I'm not! But we'd love to be involved in it. Obviously that and with the royal wedding just gone, it's a great sense of Britishness.

"We haven't been approached yet but I think once the organisers get through this year, they'll start doing organisation for the actual thing.

As well as performing at the Olympics, the group - also made up of Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes and Oritse Williams - are also keen to do a duet with Gwyneth Paltrow.

JB added: "She's just great and she can sing well, which we didn't realise until quite recently. We're always doing new things and we're always trying to better ourselves, so we'd love a collaboration with her."
