James Corden left new baby Max at home with fianc�e Julia Carey last night as he partied in London with fellow dad and cricketer friend Kevin Pietersen.

The boys hit new nightclub The Box and didn't head home until 3.30am.

'Massive!! The Box is amazing hey??,' Kevin, 30, Tweeted today. 'Anyone else struggling today?'�

But Gavin & Stacey star James' night off was well deserved - he and 31-year-old Julia became parents for the first time when Max arrived on 22 March and he's a devoted dad.

James, who proposed to Julia on Christmas Day last year, is enjoying family life and the challenges of parenting.

'Today involves father duties! And obviously... Watching the west ham game x,' James, 32, Tweeted last week.

'This whole staying in with the family stuff is fantastic!Push the button,and after the feed we'll watch The Social Network. Lushtimes!'
